The taiga biome is a connected biodiverse area in the northern section of the Northern Hemisphere. It is the largest terrestrial biome in the world. It elongates across countries like Alaska, Mongolia, Canada, Scandinavia, Russia, Siberia, etc. It covers mountains, hills, plateaus, forests and plains. In latitudinal terms, it is the second highest biome in the world, the highest being the tundra, and has a fairly cold climate all year round. It is home to a huge range of different fauna and flora.
